November
Current situation — After a summer overflowing with shocks of every kind — the bright, dizzy kind that falling in love brings, and the darker extremes like a sudden, shocking and huge farewell,  the death of the closest person in my universe...

I’m slowly remembering who I was and why I’m still here on this planet.

These emotional turbulences aren’t distractions from life; they are life. I’ am moving through all of it with my whole body and soul.

And now, slowlyy, slowly, day by day I’ve begun to paint again.
I’m looking forward to sharing updates with you as soon as the new images start to reveal themselves…

June
This month was mostly about work, with just a little bit of play. I spent a lot of time on restoration work at the local museum. The rest of the time I was in my studio, working on three paintings.

Two of them are finished. One shows a figure with broken arms, still somehow creating a universe of their own. The second one, which I called “Landscape with a Message,” is exactly that — a landscape where a cloud-like being is spreading a verse from Alexi Murdoch’s song "Wait." It fit perfectly with what I was thinking and feeling at the time.

The third painting is still in progress. It started as a study of strong light coming from what should be the end of a street — but it slowly turned into a colorful garden. Plants just kept showing up. Now I look at it and wonder what it really represents. I’d call it “The Change of Algorithm” — like that moment when things shift, and everything starts happening outside of our control.

This month also brought the end of the school year, so the course I’m teaching is now on a summer break.

And finally, most of June was also about taking care of my cat. He was sick for three weeks, which was really hard. But he’s better now — a real little fighter — and even got to go on a mini vacation after recovering.

MAY

Keyword for this month was NATURE. It was very outdoor month for me, visiting frients and family in the countryside. I held one lecture of outdoor painting in the Botanical garden for the participants of the art workshop I lead.I took part also in oneday artist residence, it was all outdoor. Besides that, I spent time painting lots of flowers in my niece’s bedroom.

APRIL

My recent journey to Brussels and Ghent was deeply enriching. I was astonished by the Flemish style in painting, sculpture, and architecture. I marveled at the vibrant colors and fantastical narratives of the old masters, the extraordinary craftsmanship in sculpture, and the rhythmic repetition of architectural elements. Medieval and early Renaissance art and design resonated with me in a vivid and powerful way.Check the gallery below for some photos I took (I was taking a photos all the time with my mouth half open haha). As my dear friend said: we can only cry looking to  these paintings and architecture. That  kind of artistry is lost for the mankind.
